Qatari officials announced in the Gaza Strip on the 25th that Qatar would use the US $ 15 million originally planned for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement ( Hamas ) for humanitarian projects in the Gaza Strip.
Mohammed Ahmadi, chairman of Qatar's Committee for Reconstruction of Gaza Strip, said at a news conference held in the Gaza Strip on the same day that Hamas's leadership told Qatar that Hamas refused to accept the aid because of Israel's conditions. Qatar therefore decided to cooperate and coordinate with the United Nations to use the funds for humanitarian projects in the Gaza Strip, including helping poor families, improving and developing the power grid, and temporary employment plans.
Amadi said Qatar's aid is mainly aimed at improving the living conditions of the people in the Gaza Strip and solving humanitarian problems.
Qatar originally planned to provide the aid to Hamas, but Israel postponed the transfer of the money on the grounds of the tense security situation in the Gaza Strip. According to Palestinian media reports, Ahmadi arrived in the Gaza Strip on the 24th to transfer the funds to Hamas, which said it refused to accept the funds due to " blackmail" by Israel.
After Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip in 2007, Israel regarded it as a serious threat and imposed a tight blockade on the Gaza Strip, causing a serious humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Qatar has recently invested a large amount of money in the Gaza Strip, including providing fuel, easing the local power shortage and paying salaries to civil servants in the Gaza Strip, subject to Israel's transfer.上一篇:《声临其境2》严屹宽接棒朱亚文成“人形变声器” 下一篇:四川成都小区已经首次试用5G时代已经来临了！摆脱束缚的科技
